Overview

  • Engrams drop from enemies, bosses & activity completions.
  • Loot dropped from enemies goes directly into your inventory.

Engrams

  • Take engrams to the Cryptarch on the farm to decrypt them for gear.
  • Engrams can be purchased from the Cryptarch for currency.
  • There are 5 rarities of engrams from least to most common: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Exotic.
  • Strikes always drop rare engrams but sometimes they can drop Legendary or even Exotic engrams.
  • The exp bar above your hotbar is your level. The tab screen values are also the player's levels.

Currency

  • Currencies are used to purchase stuff from vendors.
  • Currencies can be (un)compressed in the crafting grid.
  • The Postmaster on the Farm exchange trading currencies.

Trading Currencies:

  • Glimmer- Common
  • Legendary Shards - Legendary
  • Exotic Shards - Exotic

Event Currencies:

  • Candy
  • Present

  • Drops from The Pyramidion

Strand Core | Exotic

  • Drops from Subjugators

Hadium Flake | Legendary

  • Drops from Ascendant Darkblades

Herealways Piece | Legendary

  • Drops from Salvation Brigs

Royal Gunpowder | Legendary

  • Drops from Fleet Goliath Tanks

Simulation Seed | Legendary

  • Drops from Quantum Hydras

Eliksni Metal | Rare

  • Drops from Brigs

Cabal Oil | Rare

  • Drops from Goliath Tanks

Microscopic Datalattice | Rare

  • Drops from Hydras

Unrefined Hadium Flake | Rare

  • Drops from Darkblades

Dusk Cloth | Uncommon

  • Drops from Fallen Captains

Glimmer, Legendary Shards, Exotic Shards, Ammo, Weapons & Engrams may also be used as crafting materials

Xur

  • Xur appears from Friday-Monday selling legendary and exotic gear.
